Infant Program

A warm, nurturing environment where infants explore and develop at their own pace.

Our infant classroom is full right now — the list is open.

Explorers is our smallest classroom and the one families plan for earliest. Tell us your due date or your return-to-work date and we will be in touch when a place opens that fits your child's age and timing — no fee, no obligation, and you are welcome to tour in the meantime.

A smiling baby pulls up to stand on a wooden climbing triangle in the infant room.
A baby sits on a soft rug beside a wooden box-and-ball material.
A guide works alongside a young child at a low table.

Our infant program provides a safe and loving space where babies build secure attachments with dedicated caregivers. Through sensory-rich experiences and carefully prepared Montessori materials, infants develop cognitive, motor, and language skills at their own natural pace.

Every guide who leads a Meridian classroom is Montessori-trained.

Feeding, nursing and sleep

In the words of our Parent Handbook:

  • Parents of infants must provide written feeding instructions that are updated at least every 30 days.
  • Meridian Montessori supports breastfeeding mothers and welcomes parents to breastfeed their children at the school at any time. A quiet, comfortable space is available for nursing mothers upon request.
  • Infants are always placed on their backs to sleep.
  • Sleeping infants are visually checked at least every 15 minutes.

“Like any parent of an infant who needs to go back to work, my husband and I were very anxious to find a good, safe child care for our baby. We visited multiple schools and ultimately found Meridian through another parent's referral. From our very first visit, we knew this was the right place for our family.”
